Gary S. honorably served in the United States Marine Corps for four years, from August 5, 1980, to July 25, 1984. During his service, he achieved the rank of Sergeant, E5, with an 18-month tenure in grade at the time of his discharge. Gary’s dedication and expertise were recognized with several awards, including the Rifle Expert Badge, Good Conduct Medal, and Sea Service Deployment Ribbon. His notable assignments included serving as a Transceiver/Radio Technician with the 6th Marines at Camp Lejeune, NC, and as the 2nd shift Non-Commissioned Officer In Charge (NCOIC) of the Electronics Maintenance Company radio repair shop at Camp Kinser, Okinawa, Japan. These roles highlight his technical skills and leadership capabilities.
